Aerospace Supply Chain and AOG Expediting

Forward Systems Group handles AOG expediting and aerospace supply chain logistics from Miami, moving engines, rotables and complete airframes for military and commercial operators. When an operator declares Aircraft on Ground we work the carrier network, the export authorization and the destination handling in parallel rather than in sequence, because the hours are the whole problem. We have supported UH-60 Black Hawk, F-5, C-130 and KFIR platform logistics.

How Forward Systems Group runs aerospace supply chain & aog

We specialize in the precise handling and global transport of high-value aerospace assets: C-130 engines, Kfir engines, Black Hawk main and tail rotor blades, complete helicopter assemblies, and all associated major and minor components. Our expertise spans the entire chain: secure packaging, export compliance, customs clearance and final delivery.

  1. 1

    Classify before you pick

We confirm whether the part is USML or EAR before it leaves the shelf. Discovering a rotable is licence-controlled mid-transit is what turns an AOG into a seizure.

  2. 2

    Engineer the handling

Cradles, stands and shoring are specified to the asset. Engine QEC assemblies, rotor blades and complete airframes each move differently, and the packaging is part of the airworthiness record.

  3. 3

    Tender the fastest legal lift

Next-flight-out, on-board courier or dedicated charter, selected against the receiving station's actual handling capability rather than the shortest flight time.

  4. 4

    Clear ahead of arrival

Customs pre-cleared so the part is not sitting in a shed at the airport while the aircraft stays on the ground.

Platform experience includes UH-60 Black Hawk, C-130, Kfir and F-5, with work for Sikorsky, Derco Aerospace, Segers Aero Corp, Textron, Bell Textron, Asia Pacific Aerospace and Sahar Group's aerospace and helicopter divisions.

AOG expediting

An AOG movement is a logistics problem with the slack taken out. There is no time to discover mid-transit that a part is USML-controlled, that the engine stand is not airworthy-certified, or that the receiving station cannot break down the ULD.

We work the constraint backwards from the aircraft: confirm the receiving station's handling capability, confirm the export authorization covers the part as classified, then select the lift. Next-flight-out, hand-carry courier, and dedicated charter are all on the table.

  • Next Flight Out and on-board courier service
  • Dedicated air charter for engines and outsized rotables
  • Engine stand and cradle sourcing, certification, and return logistics
  • Dangerous goods declarations for batteries, chemical oxygen generators, and pyrotechnics
  • Customs pre-clearance to eliminate arrival dwell

Military aviation logistics

Military platforms add export control on top of aviation urgency. A Black Hawk main rotor head and a commercial turbofan may travel in the same aircraft, but only one of them requires a DDTC license, an approved end user, and a documented chain of custody.

We have moved complete UH-60 Black Hawk airframes by Antonov An-124, KFIR J79-J1EQD engines under DSP-61 transshipment authority, and C-130 engine assemblies by road and air. Those movements set the standard we apply to routine rotable traffic.

Aerospace Supply Chain & AOG: frequently asked questions

What does AOG mean in logistics?

AOG stands for Aircraft on Ground, meaning an aircraft that cannot fly until a specific part arrives. AOG logistics is the expedited movement of that part, usually by next-flight-out air freight, an on-board courier, or a dedicated charter, with customs and export authorizations arranged in advance so nothing waits at the border.

Do you support UH-60 Black Hawk logistics?

Yes. Forward Systems Group has moved complete UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters internationally, including three airframes from West Palm Beach, Florida to Amman, Jordan aboard an Antonov An-124. We also move Black Hawk components, rotables, and ground support equipment.

How fast can an AOG shipment move?

For a part already cleared for export, next-flight-out tender out of Miami International Airport can put cargo in the air the same day. Movements requiring a new export authorization are governed by the licensing timeline, which is why we review classification before the part is picked, not after.
