Compliance
Trade Compliance, Export Control and Security
Forward Systems Group is registered with the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls as an FMS Freight Forwarder under code M28606, and is C-TPAT validated. Compliance is not a department here. It is the reason the freight moves. Export authorization, commodity classification and cargo security sit alongside the freight itself, so clearance is not handed to a separate party.
Why compliance is the whole job
Defense freight rarely fails because a truck broke down. It fails because a commodity was misclassified, a licence expired mid-shipment, or an invoice value didn't match the authorization. These are administrative failures with seized-cargo consequences.
We keep licensing and transport under one provider so those mismatches surface before the cargo does. Each page below covers one regime: what it requires, and where we stand.
